I am deeply disturbed :)
Oh my...
Nothing wrong with a "warm and fuzzy" feeling all over, but I'd rather get that from eating a good meal or being with good friends!
It's so sad that people are taken in by this crap. I'm pretty sure that if Jesus came back the last thing anyone would care about is HOW HE SMELLED!
Don't you think??
Okay, when I initially saw the photo, I had a rather disgusting thought (who in the hell would want to buy a candle that smelled of "His Essence?"), but now that I clicked the link and read what "His Essence" really is, I'm even more disturbed.....
Obviously, everyone is going to have a different issue with this candle. Here's mine.
During this time period, bathing was not in vogue. Jesus may have smelled like myrhh (sp?), but that wasn't all he smelled like.
And if we're talking about the second coming (not to offend our Jewish friends, but for the sake of argument) well, give me a break. Whoever heard of an angel smelling like incense.
"I'm the Patchouli Angel, watching over your ever.....*cough, cough, choke*."
I'm almost positive that these people are not even Christian.
At least I hope not.
What would Jesus REALLY smell like?
1) Myhrr, like Smokin said.
2) bait - he hung out with fishermen
3) sheep - "The Lord is my shepherd..."
4) sawdust - "My boss is a Jewish Carpenter"
5) body odor - Remember folks, back then a baptism might be the only bath you ever got... So unless you were John the Baptist, you probably STUNK.
6) Faint scent of leather from sandals
In a nutshell, if he walked in off the steet today, he'd probably be mistaken for someone French.
